BioVector® WM1799 is a human skin Melanoma cell line derived from a primary tumor. It represents the Radial Growth Phase (RGP) of melanoma development. In the progression of melanoma, the RGP signifies an early stage where the tumor expands horizontally, primarily confined to the epidermis. WM1799 is particularly valuable for research as it carries the NRAS Q61L mutation while being BRAF Wild-Type (WT). This makes it a critical model for studying the pathogenesis of non-BRAF mutated melanoma, NRAS-driven signaling pathways, and the development of targeted therapies for this specific genetic subgroup.
