通用定义 / General Definition:BioVector® SL-15 是一种源自人类鼻咽癌 (Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma, NPC) 的上皮细胞系。它是研究鼻咽癌生物学行为的重要体外模型之一。SL-15 细胞常被用于探索 NPC 的发病机制、肿瘤细胞的迁移与侵袭能力、以及对新型抗癌药物(包括化疗药、靶向药物及天然产物提取物)的敏感性评价。在鼻咽癌研究领域,SL-15 与 CNE-1、CNE-2 等细胞系共同构成了研究东亚高发性鼻咽恶性肿瘤的基础工具。

BioVector® SL-15 is an epithelial cell line derived from Human Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma (NPC). It serves as a significant in vitro model for investigating the biological characteristics of NPC. SL-15 cells are frequently employed to explore the pathogenesis of NPC, cell migration and invasion capabilities, and the sensitivity to novel anti-cancer agents, including chemotherapeutics, targeted drugs, and natural product extracts. In the field of nasopharyngeal cancer research, SL-15, along with lines like CNE-1 and CNE-2, forms the fundamental toolkit for studying this malignancy, which has a high incidence in East Asia.

2. 培养条件

2. Culture Conditions

  • Basal Medium: BioVector® RPMI-1640 or DMEM Medium

  • Serum Supplement: 10% BioVector® Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS)

  • Incubation: 37 degrees Celsius, 5% CO2, Saturated Humidity

  • Subculturing: 1:3 to 1:4 ratio; subculture when cells reach 80% - 90% confluence.

  • Anti-tumor Drug Screening: Assessing the effects of small molecule inhibitors on NPC cell proliferation and apoptosis.

  • Aseptic Technique: Maintain strict sterile procedures to prevent Mycoplasma and other microbial contaminations.


Note: SL-15 cells should be handled under Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) conditions. For optimal experimental results, BioVector® recommends the use of validated culture media and high-grade FBS to ensure consistent cell growth and phenotypic stability.
