Description / 描述:
BioVector® Methanobacterium palustre is a well-characterized, mesophilic, anaerobic archaeon isolated from a peat bog in Kelheim, Germany -1-2-5. It was originally described by Zellner et al. in 1988 and validly published as a new species in 1990 -5-8. This type strain is a key reference organism for studying methanogenesis, anaerobic metabolism, and microbial ecology in wetland environments. Cells are long rods that occur singly, in pairs, and in clumps -8.
