SVG cell growth kinetics. (A and B) SVG cells growing in culture were analyzed by differential interference contrast microscopy (A) and phase-contrast microscopy following hematoxylin staining (B). The scale bars represent 50 μm. (C) MTS analysis and trypan blue staining were used to generate a standard curve to correlate cell viability by the MTS assay into total cell numbers using 3 replicate values. (D) SVG growth kinetics were measured over 7 days in culture by MTS assay and converted into total cell numbers using the standard curve with 6 replicate values.
