Description描述：Skin fibroblast culture made from explants of ear skin from a calorically restricted Fisher F344 rat. Caloric Restriction (CR) is initiated at 14 weeks of age at 10% restriction, increased to 25% restriction at 15 weeks, and to 40% restriction at 16 weeks where it is maintained throughout the life of the animal. CR rats are fed a fortified food to ensure their micronutrient intake is maintained at optimal levels. Survival curves for rats and mice under this CR protocol have been published (PMID 10619312).
