Description描述：Standardbred horse. The thoracic aorta was removed 1 hour post-mortem on 2/27/85. Strips of the medial layer were minced, treated with collagenase and then elastase. Cells released by this treatment were used for the primary culture. Cell morphology is fibroblast-like and the cells form layered sheets at post-confluence. The karyotype is 64,XX; normal diploid female. The culture tested positive for alpha-smooth muscle actin and negative for the endothelial cell-specific von Willebrand factor (immunofluorescence assays). Other cultures from this horse are AG08029 and AG08030. The legacy karyotype description shown in this Remark may not be representative of the current available product.
