XL1-Blue MRF' Kan E.coli strain大肠杆菌菌株/感受态细胞
XL-1 Blue MRF’ and XL-1 Blue MR competent cells allow high efficiency and representational cloning of methylated DNA. All known E. coli K12 restriction systems have been deleted. Use XL1-Blue MRF’ cells when cloning methylated cDNA or genomic DNA, or when cloning methylated PCR products.
When the F’ episome and blue-white screening are unnecessary, use XL1-Blue MR supercompetent cells. When cloning tetracycline-resistant plasmids, use XL1-Blue MRF’ Kan supercompetent cells to select for the F’ episome and provide a more intense blue color for blue-white screening.
XL1-Blue MRF’ Supercompetent Cells
The XL1-Blue MRF´ (Minus Restriction) strain is a restriction minus derivative of our XL1-blue strain. They are deficient in all known restriction systems and include mutations that prevent the cleavage of cloned DNA by the EcoK endonuclease system (hsdr), help ensure insert stability (recA), and improve miniprep DNA quality (endA).
Transformation efficiency is ≥1 x 109 transformants/µg of pUC18 DNA. Cells are resistant to tetracycline, and allow blue-white screening for recombinant plasmids.
XL1-Blue MRF’ Kanr Supercompetent Cells
XL1-Blue MRF´ Kan is a restriction minus, kanamycin-resistant derivative for PCR cloning using vectors harboring chloramphenicol or tetracycline resistance genes. They are deficient in all known restriction systems and include mutations that prevent the cleavage of cloned DNA by the EcoK endonuclease system (hsdr), help ensure insert stability (recA), and improve miniprep DNA quality (endA).
Transformation efficiency is ≥1 x 109 transformants/µg of pUC18 DNA. Cells are resistant to kanamycin, and allow blue-white screening for recombinant plasmids.
XL1-Blue MR Supercompetent Cells
The XL1-Blue MR (Minus Restriction) strain is a restriction minus derivative, useful for cosmid-based cloning. The cells are deficient in all known restriction systems and are endA, and recA deficient. The hsdR mutation prevents the cleavage of cloned DNA by the EcoK endonuclease system, and the recA mutation ensures insert stability. The endA mutation improves the quality of miniprep DNA. The XL1-Blue MR strain does not contain an F´ episome and does not support blue-white color screening.
Transformation efficiency is ≥1 x 109 transformants/µg of pUC18 DNA.
