Candida tropicalis热带假丝酵母ATCC 20026
Candida tropicalis (ATCC 20026) is incubated in 1,000,000 parts by volume of the culture medium of the same composi tion as that in Table I with aeration and agitation at 28°C for20 hours after the manner described in Example 1, whereby 45,000 parts by weight (in terms of dried cells) of cells containing 750 pugig (on dry basis) of coenzyme Q is obtained. The cells are treated after the manner described in Example 1 to yield 25 parts by weight of conenzyme Q as yellow platy crystals. In the process of this Example, when the incubation process is carried out in a culture medium containing 100 parts by weight of glucose in place of the normal paraffin mixture, lessyield of coenzyme Q, i.e., 7.5 parts by weight of coenzyme Q is obtained. An ampoule containing viable cells (may include yeast cells, pseudohyphae, true hyphae) suspended in cryoprotectant.Product categoryFungiProduct typeYeastPreceptrol cultureType strainYesGenome sequenced strainYesIsolation sourcePatient with bronchomycosisProduct formatFreeze-driedStorage conditions2°C to 8°CGeneralSpecific applicationsAssay of chloro-8-quinolinolBacterial resistance testingDegrades xylose D-xyloseFungus resistance testing adhesivesProduces aspartic proteinases aspartyl proteinasesProduces ethyl alcohol ethanolProduces xylitolSusceptibility disc testingSusceptibility testingProduces xylitol from D-xyloseControl strain for typing systemsProduces ethanol from D-xyloseControl strain to test oxygen availability in bioreactor in space laboratoryReference strain for Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute(CLSI)-developed Antifungal Susceptibility Testing.CharacteristicsPloidyDiploidCommentsFluconazole-sensitiveUtilizes phenol, catechol and 3- and 4-methylcatechols as sole carbon sourceEsterase activityMIC of 2-hydroxychalcone, 75 mcg/mlAdherence to lysophospholipidsGenome sequencing strain (Genolevures Consortium, France; Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, UK).For additional infromation, see CLSI M27-A2 (Reference Method for Broth Dilution Antifungal Susceptibility Testing of Yeasts; Approved Standards-Second Edition).Mitochondrial genome sequenced strainTechnical informationNTCC Technical Services does not have technical information on patent deposits that are not produced or characterized by NTCC. Stir to form a suspension.3.Aseptically transfer the suspension back into the test tube of sterile distilled water.4.Let the test tube sit at room temperature (25°C) undisturbed for at least 2 hours; longer (e.g., overnight) rehydration might increase viability of some fungi.5.Mix the suspension well. Use several drops (or make dilutions if desired) to inoculate recommended solid or liquid medium. Include a control that receives no inoculum.6.Incubate the inoculum at the propagation conditions recommended.7.Inspect for growth of the inoculum/strain regularly. The sign of viability is noticeable typically after 1 to 2 days of incubation. However, the time necessary for significant growth will vary from strain to strain.Handling notesType strain.
